Style Dilemma

Hi :)
Today I was asked to define my "scrapbooking style". What? Put a name to all the crazy, crafty stuff I do? That could be difficult, but I would have to say...clean, shabby chic. How would you define YOUR style??

I like to re-use my designs. I know, crazy right?? But it's true and it saves me lots of time.

I made this card:

And I liked the design so much that I made bookmarks using the same basic colour scheme and layout. (see below)

9 bookmarks made for my co-workers at my old job. (library...librarians...books....bookmarks...you get it lol)

I stamped, cut out, inked and stickled the edges of each butterfly.

Each bookmark is personalized with the first letter of each person's name.

Random Acts of Creativity.

Currently: Eating onion rings. Listening to John Mayer. Foot has fallen asleep.

This card was made for one of my friends for her 17th birthday.

Each edge of the little squares was individually inked and embellished with stickles.

This next project was made for my scrapbooking table because I needed a new place to store my ink pads. So I bought a plain white canister at a thrift store and altered it.

I stamped the butterfly with light green ink on kraft cardstock then cut it out.

This card was super quick and easy to make!

The technique I used was: First I cut a long strip of fabric about an inch wide, then I covered a punched out cardstock circle in double sided tape, then stuck one end of the fabric strip to the middle of the circle, began to twist the fabric strip slightly as I pressed it down on the tape in a circle form, continued pressing the fabric down until I had reached the edge of the cardstock circle, trimmed off the excess untwisted fabric and tucked the end underneath. Then I added 3 pearls to the center and voila! A quick handcrafted flower.

Bulletin!!

A project that I finished over the weekend. :)

After looking in many home decor stores for a bulletin board, I finally decided that I would just need to make one. This is the result:

I purchased an old gold frame at my local thrift store, sanded the hideous paint off, painted it with aqua crackle paint and then sanded it for a distressed look.
The ruffle around the edges is strips of green, flower patterned fabric.
I bought a roll of cork and mounted it on the back with carpenter's glue.

Each flower was made using this pattern: FLOWER TUTORIAL

To decorate them, I inked the edges, misted them, and added glitter glue along the edges of the petals. Then added jewels/brads to the centers.

Very happy with the distressed look frame (which cost me $2.00!) and the overall look.

Creative block...unblocked.

My lack of posting is due to a CREATIVE BLOCK that I've been suffering from. A brick wall that I've been running into every time I try to make anything crafty. :(
But, Success! I made a scrapbook page tonight.

I made the brown flower out of felt and a pearl. Super easy and cute.
The white ruffle is pleated tissue paper.
Bought a Crop-A-Dile yesterday and used it for the eyelets on the lefthand side of the page.
